Honestly some people in the workforce is just a hindrance, where you might rather have a ball and chain around your leg. The scary part is when it becomes possible for it to compete with the average worker, and even more terrifying when it can outcompete the most productive of workers. But I think there is one thing wrong in the analysis of the stock markets going towards the sky. Because who will buy their goods and stocks? if the average is unemployment, no robot is willing to buy their goods or services. If the rich don't think, they will end up being forced down from their piedestals due to a revolution. Which military wants to support the mega rich? When most of your friends, your family is unemployed. Corruption might be the first to rise, but extreme violence is highest in the countries with the highest inequality, unless the state apparatus is totalitarian. If anyone develops an AI to game the stockmarket, then the entire system will come toppling down, if you succeeded in buying and selling the best deals everyday for a year, even just starting with a few dollars, you'd be the richest man on Earth by december, and we aren't just talking by a little bit, by insane amounts. Then even the rich will not be safe, and then the system will come for the mega rich, and then the ultra rich until only one remains. This system will cannibalize itself quicker than any of the richests even believe is possible in their worst nightmares.
