And regarding the profitability of AI. I believe that we have already passed or almost reached the point where AI image generation was economically unprofitable. In my opinion, the only thing that can save traditional artists who draw only "by hand" is an economic crisis of the level of the Great Depression.
Because I can run completely free stable diffusion on a video card with 8 gigabytes of VRAM. This already allows me not to hire a separate illustrator to create some simple prototype or mockup. Literally 5 years ago, this was fantasy, but now I can already make some prototype faster and without involving an illustrator.
And you also need to understand that there is China. Which doesn't give a damn about all your economic considerations and profitability.
