1. AI robots will learn to perform the tasks of a traditional plumber alot quicker than people think, its already happening, so i woudnt get too comfortable there, but its safer for now than most others.
2. We assume plumbing systems wont be developed that are built with optimisation in mind for autonomous repair systems from the get-go. Id even go as far to say that in the same way robots wont be metal and plastic forever, they will become 3d printed bio-synthetics, and so will our plumbing, it will be made of self repairing intelligent synthetic organisms that monitor and filter and repair itself, no nuts and bolts and welds. At the very least it will know an issue the second it arises and call out a autonomous repair robot to come fix it before you even realise
