I recently started an NEMT business. As anyone whose started a business knows, the minute you do so all kinds of companies sales teams come at you wanting a piece of the pie. One of the biggest unavoidable expenses for many businesses is SAS (software as a service, think the stuff that runs the screen on the registers) or POS companies. Well, wanting to eventually expand and not being a programmer means I had done my research and had a company in mind who I was in contact with. They'd make me custom designed solutions to route rides and bill them properly and assign/dispatch those rides to available drivers at rates and times available that I administered. That's the general gist. Remember this company is one of thousands worldwide that all have CEO, CFO, marketing, sales, design, programming, tech, and misc. management. Not to mention the building they lease and the people who maintain that. All folks paying their bills and sending the kids to college with this money. Well, I had to contact that company the other day because I asked Gemini and Replit for exactly what this company provided with simple English (and as you can see, my grammar sucks). Both AI did absolutely exactly what I asked for and made it look damn good and completely functional and usable in all of a minute. I had to tell the sales lady that I already did what they said they could do for me with AI. That's a wrap on an entire global industry! SAS is done! So, when people poo poo how rapid this is happening... you best wake up! Your job is next.
