The only argument in favor of ai art that people would enjoy consuming is the "monkeys on a typewriter, given enough time, eventually write hamlet by pure chance", right? I think ai art only has that going for it. Sometimes it steals the right kind of things by accident that combine into something interesting-looking, but it can't last, because it's not a consistent story. And if it were (in this example, let's say it consistently plays with two interesting concepts), then it is still just a consistent thief, and not an original creator.
