One one hand I understand the fear, but on the other hand, this isn't the first time a type of job has disappeared. It's just another step in the evolution of man, and for every lost job there is a new type of job created, often a higher paying job, to take its place. And as for how much should workers be paid, that it really a question of what level of capitalism you want. Do you believe that businesses should be regulated in order to protect the workers, or do you believe that businesses should not have safeguards that could slow down innovation? The country has been 50/50 on this for a long time now. In the rest of the civilized world the workers have many more protections than in the US, including from AI. How many of your Congressmen and Senators introduced legislation to protect you from AI, and how many of them just talk about it? If you don't know, then maybe you should find out, and figure out what side you want to be on.
