a lot is just part of the marketing hype. these models are still not "intelligent" they just emulate human intelligence with probabilistic models and as ling as you stay within certain boundaries the illusion is near perfect. but we might still be a long way from any actual intelligence let alone super intelligence. im not an AI hater, i think its both impressive and very useful for many things but they tanked so much money into it, they have to pull every register to leave the hype train running. fear is one of the easiest emotions to farm. There is no monster hiding within chatgpt.
