I think there has to be thorough investigations before ANY warrants and arrests are ordered... and A.I. technology is unreliable. There has to be concrete evidence, and Police (and prosecutors) need to be held accountable if they royally screw up (which they did!) One case in Washington state was horribly egregious: An extreme metal band from Poland named Decapitated was touring the USA w/ another band Thy Art is Murder in 2017, when all 4 band members were arrested In California & charged w/ kidnapping and rape of a young woman in Spokane who attended their show... She claimed that she was forced onto their tour bus, held against her will and sexually assaulted by the band members... She showed bruises on her arms claiming that was how she was restrained. The 4 members of Decapitated were imprisoned in the US for months as they awaited trial... they relied on the Polish embassy to give them legal counsel since they were not people of means and were not fluent in English. But just weeks before the trial, prosecutors dropped the charges and released the members, citing some BS reasoning behind the decision... The 4 were released and flown back to Poland. Then, the details of the case came to light... The young woman who made those claims of sexual assault was arrested for DUI the night in question and in jail, when she demanded to speak to detectives to report the alleged assault while still intoxicated... The young woman also had a history of lying to the police in separate incidents, one involving a boyfriend and an attempted murder incident... The detective who took her statement and did a background check on her wrote in his report that the victim and her allegations were 'NOT CREDIBLE'... But a local prosecutor decided to file charges against the band anyway, citing the victim's injuries as evidence... Upon speaking to the band's crew, the young woman waited outside the venue after the show to meet the band and invited herself onto their tour bus... She left willingly on seemingly good terms... The bruises she had on her arm were apparently self-inflicted when she was at the concert and seen by numerous witnesses banging her arms against the metal barricades. There was no recourse or compensation for the 4 band members who were wrongfully jailed for MONTHS... They did not live in the USA and could not take legal action because the charges were dismissed 'without prejudice'.
