Another interesting thought. Better drivers aka people that drive slower, don’t drive under the influence, don’t drive distracted etc probably have a considerably lower death rate than bad drivers. If everyone shifted to self driving cars, the death rate would be evenly spread between bad and good drivers. So less people overall would die, but many safe drivers that would have never got into an accident now have a chance of getting in an accident completely out of their control.
