All the people arguing in the comments hurts my soul. AI will NEVER. Be art. Never. I have spent years of my life learning and creating because it is something I enjoy doing. People who use ai to create will never feel that feeling; the feeling of pride after spending a week on a piece for an art competition, and it’s the best thing you’ve ever drawn. They’ll never get to flip back through old sketchbooks and see how far they’ve come. AI is instant. People want instant gratification. The act of creating art in and of itself is art. The human struggles, triumphs, losses, and joys are the art. Yes, the result is a pretty picture, but AI deprives the user of 90% of the actual art. It’s a machine that arranges pixels in an instant without reason for putting them there. It falls apart when you zoom in because there was no intention behind the lines. It has no hands, no heart. It does not replicate human success or human mistakes. It’s nothing. Sweet in the moment, but then it’s gone.
