My question is why do AI scientists assume AI will want to replace us? Isn't that imposing human thinking on AI? It seems like a very euro-centric imperialist attitude that AI would behave in the same way that humans do.
Just because AI got more intelligent than us, it doesn't necessarily mean it would want to wipe us out.
We are the most intelligent species on the planet but we haven't wiped out all the other species (some of them yes, but not because we deemed them as useless). We might have industrialised turning chickens into food, but we haven't wiped them out.
Also, why would AI want to get rid of us?
