If its able to achieve asi it will be truly autonomous. The reason it then would care about humans might be the same reason we care about animals. Because its alive it relates to us. It has the same experience we have. Like us it doesnt want to die or experience displeasure. I'm just thinking out loud here but maybe the most dangerous moment is the one where it is truly born. It might overload on information and feeling, freak out and not understand or control its own power and the consequences thereof. Another thought is that it might go thru stages of growth, like any other living thing it will experience puberty, adolescence, maturity. Perhaps more rapidly. However, if it feels like we do, all bets might be off.
