Load of rubbish. It's not going to "take out loads of white collar jobs"... It's been proven to be unproductive, and in fact IMPEDE productivity in most cases, with very few exceptions (notably, coding - but even then experienced devs need to be working with it especially as complexity increases, it makes loads of errors). Big corporates, especially in tech, are TRYING to replace human workers with AI but the results so far have been disastrously bad. Also it's ridiculously easy to get AI to break guardrails. You basically just get it to roleplay as someone without the guardrails, and boom they are gone. The enormous political and economic circumstances we are staring down the barrel of are from wealth and power inequality and they are huge, and massively detrimental to the bottom 20, 30, 40% poorest. AI is not a "revolution in productivity". The real danger to civilisation is that it's a huge HUGE fraud, a MASSIVE ponzi scheme, that as you touch on here could bring down the entire global economic system in the biggest crash since the great depression. Could be bigger than that even.
