Raw LLM Responses

All AI is not the same. ChatGPT is a language program. It is NOT meant to provide accurate or up to date information. It is a way for them to improve their language model that they can then apply to commercial AI chats that have a good base of information. This COULD be something like law. The ChatGPT provided language model would just allow it to be more comfortable for the users to talk to... but it WOULD have the knowledge base to be useful here. Thinking that because ChatGPT was not good in this case is just not understanding what ChatGPT is... it is really good for what it is... you just can't use it for more than it is. To give an example, it is like a lawyer hiring a honors high school student to do their legal research in a local small town library. The kid doesn't have the training (specific programming) or the resources (the appropriate database) to be successful. That isn't a knock against the kid, they are probably a sharp kid. They just aren't a lawyer using a legal library but no reasonable person would have ever have assumed they were. The technology to have a really good AI assistant for a lawyer is indeed extant right now. But I am not aware of one being made commercially available... but it would be that, commercial. It would also still fall on the user to verify everything just like it would fall on a lawyer to confirm things their legal assistants dig up. But... they still won't replace lawyers.
