AI is going to cost some good programmers their jobs.
I'm a lousy Python programmer and could only do minor stuff. but outsourced the rest for my projects. But that has changed. I have an AI prompt in my Python editor and it now writes all the tough code I can't do. It's amazing what AI can do. So you can have amateurs who do understand coding, but aren't good at it, now doing acceptable code. It might not be perfect code, but if it works then who cares. I'm not doing commercial software that needs to be validated and optimized.
