There is a huge fucking difference between using a digital medium to make art, and typing words into a textbook to make a machine do literally ALL of the work for you. When you do that, you aren’t making anything. You’re literally not applying any creativity or effort.
defenders of generative AI don’t seem to get the distinction here, leaning towards other similarly problematic comparisons like photography. Just completely failing to recognize that the medium not being fully manual is not the problem people have with generative AI. That was never the problem.
