14:28 --- As a disabled artist who can barely get out of bed most days without my body screaming at me to be let out of its misery, I find it disheartening that AI prompt users who call themselves artists claim it's "an alternative accessible resource for disabled people". To me, hearing that just screams "If you're disabled then you're incapable of doing anything yet again!" and just encourages to wallow in self-pity and isolation. If anything, AI is more harmful and less accessible as it directly discourages progress of both artistic movement and encourages those disabled like me to just not bother trying, because why would we? If a machine can do it for me, why bother doing better? I've been drawing since early childhood, so I may be biased, but even if I take months long breaks, I always come back to art because it's mine. It's a mechanism to let me forget about the said disability for a while and focus on expressing myself in ways I will never be able to. If you just type a prompt and let a soulless machine crap out a soulless result, then where is the same euphoria knowing you're capable? There's no point to art if it has no soul, if there is no human behind it. Art is so much more than "pictures" that can be stolen and refubrished into slop --- it's expression, a safe haven, a different world accessible to those who just take a moment to try. Those who put it under "more accessible" are the same slop who refuse to put effort and instead hide under minorities to justify their lazyness. If you want to be an artist, then put some effort in. It's not as hard as it's made out to be. Will it be professional from first try? Second? Third? NO. I've been drawing for over 10 years and I am still not professional, and that's okay, because I am still learning. It's like any other skill you learn, but the AI prompt users refuse to take a moment to start teaching themselves even the basics rather than take slop shortcuts and attempt to justify their damage to both the artistic movement and the state of the world (as AI takes up a LOT of resources).
