Though at this point predictive-text software has gotten good enough that I likely cannot prove it to you remotely, I have never used Chat GPT (and do not intend to). I have invested my identity into (not to mention staked my potential career upon) good writing, so I hope I can take credit for your comment as a compliment. I trust I should at least not as of yet have to prove that such writing existed before the invention of algorithms such as the one you refer to, however, since in the year 2025 Large Language Models are still necessarily trained on rules and principles invented by human beings. If you wish me to put a name to what some have perceived as an overly analytical and highly formal style, I can recommend tiresome, ponderous, pedantic, pompous, obnoxious, or even insufferable as more legitimate critiques - I have had to deal with most of these over the years - but even in all of these cases I maintain that there are benefits and will claim the outcome of the stance as my own and none other's; whatever credit or blame may come. As a more practical aside, on the other hand, I will note that my name is masculine - just spelled the French way.
