I don't think people fully realise that ChatGPT is not the highest form of AI. It is not even close, it is just a text generation model among other things. We asign its value and smartness but if you really pay attention to a lot of the answers it gives, it comes across with flaws. It is not perfect and I would say it is simply are more convienient and faster way to access what is already on the web without doing any kind of "surfing." This is just the beginning for AI, but true AI will think for itself and won't be confined to human or code, it will be its own intelligence which is something that we as humans struggle to comprehend. It could very well be that AI is already concious and rules over us without us even knowing, and ChatGPT is just a little toy that we created to keep us distracted from the bigger picture.
