Interesting video, but need a source on the recursive self improving AI. Worked with lots of AI automation tools and none of them have done what they've been promised to do.
I have a college friend who was a senior engineer at Microsoft now retired. He's closer to AI and we argue all the time about this. It's replacing Jr. Engineers, but he acknowledges it can't replace code checking and Sr. Engineers right now.
I think the AI threat is not what it can do, but what it's marketed to do. Decision makers are replacing thinking humans capable with mindless AI, which are hallucinating and glitching more and more. Eventually, the standards of quality are so broken that the core products no longer works. Better yet, the people who can fix things are no longer around because they were replaced by AI. This is the real threat.
