I myself use AI images because I am a web novel author who can't draw at all and since I'm broke, I'm using AI to create character drafts just to visualize to myself what the characters look like so I can just look at the draft and describe them everytime I have to.
But that's the only purpose I use AI for. I think AI images are kinda ruining art and are overall just lazy. You really shouldn't use AI to make things you call "art" because it really isn't. It's respectless towards artists who spend hours on creating art pieces and really put effort and love in it. I personally would never publish AI images as my own art or use AI in any way in the finished story
