Seems like the ideas in the video are correct, but there is a basic postulate which is false, and from that false postulate everything was constructed upwards. This postulate is: current AI is intelligent. You should read the paper of Apple titled "The illusion of thinking". There are videos that outline main points of this paper if you want a shortcut against reading full piece. Now why the economy is going to crash? Not because of AI. But because of the debt. World's debt is 330 trillion USD (public + private). This is 3 times bigger than in 1929 , so you should expect 3 times more bankrupcies (private) and 3 times more higher unemployment. Yes, AI will make more people unemployed, but all people on the planet need computing systems, because computing systems control our lives , so folks who weren't able to pay a software developer to make a custom system , will be able to hire them now, for a portion of a price , and this is how all the developers will find new jobs, by re-profiling. Instead of corporate, they are going to go into small business. So, no decrease in consumption in IT should happen due to AI taking jobs, but yes, it will happen due to debt deleveraging.
