AI requires so much rare earth metals, common mentals electricity and computing power with no end in sight because people will always demand that it do more and more for them so even with currently applied efficiency methods in place, I think we may have to reduce usage of it worldwide in the next 10 years or so to balance our obvious basic current usage of power in general for personal and professional consumption based on just our current needs and even more so once we all work from home and go to schoo from home online as robots and AI take transportation and a lot of offline simple jobs for example and people become more offline village like in their short radius of travel since everything will be delivered even more so for more people just in time before everyone can no longer afford cars as many can no longer afford housing as it is. so the solution is dual economy, price crash everything worldwide asap, reduce inflation, slow down money printing in amount and in frequency and each country must have their own factories and 3d print everything they need as the default and importing is secondary always so each economy can becaome strong to give everyone a shot at being a first world country in development over the next 20 years in this process which basically forces everyone to be on the same level to some degree and get along or be forgotten. The ultimate weapon is envery and economic independence to as much as is possible while still doing business overseas because you can not because you have to. AI is just a tool. yes evil people use it to but so do we. we are the consumers we are the marketplace. rich people sell to us. there is no economy without the people, the masses, you drop us, you drop the economy and wealth goes to zero for all, so no, AI won't takeover everyoen like a cheap sci fi movie but this experience will force us to ask questions we should have asked 150 years with the industrial revolution. we should of asked then and ask even now, "how can we use tech to raise the floor not the ceiling for the masses?" the majority will take risks if they know there is a bottom and a protection from instant poverty such as, dual economy and low cost living envionrmnets protected like we did for the native indians but do it for the poor in micro cities or villages, solar powered tiny homes, gardens, dual economies, a place where you don't become homeless, you may not prefer it, but you stay alive with basic needs provided, the key is everrything needed is 5 miles or less with public transport to connect it all and robot transport - I am describing something that has existed for a few years already in parts of japan and some 5 block areas of China and has been beta tested in Europe and Nothern CA. But hey if you want to still be afraid of AI no one is stopping you. you may see a monster, I see a hammer. AI is my tool, take it away i will simply use another tool because the vision is what matters no the silly tool. no matter what dumb evil people do with AI they still need the masses they mock to buy their stuff. people already use ai to work for themselves as contractors and small busienss owners and this will be what parents tell their kids instead of going to college they will own something. its a great time to be alive. even average people will gets with the help of AI. its going to be better in spit of fear mongering from the news.
