There will be a spike in vehicles that will fail readiness as a computer will be restricted from operating a vehicle with failure modes engaged. Currently a trucking company will insist a driver use a margin or defective vehicle for a trip or the management “will find someone who will” put a truck with questionable brakes or jerky steering. Who will inspect tires on these machines? Another robot capable of missing something. How will a robot driver make the correct choice of avoiding another truck gone off its lane in a turn and puts it on a collision course with a passenger bus with school kids. One fatal accident can bankrupt a company. So then remaining drivers should get higher pay because they are doing work machines cannot do! Next comes pilotless planes with AI making life & death choices in the skys.
