Not that I believe that artists are just “magically gifted” or anything but I do think some people just learn better than others. I love art and I’ve been drawing since I was 3, I’m 30 now and I’ve had little to no improvement. I’ve had to take break due to…you know having to work and support myself, then having to support a family so there’s no time for interests. But I do think some people just don’t get good no matter how much they work at it and want to get better. The amount of time and money I have pored into art classes and online tutorials would probably make me sick if I looked back and saw how little I’ve improved over the years. My HS art looks exactly the same as my current art. In fact it is kinda worse honestly. So while this sentiment is nice…and I’m not for AI slop because it just sucks and is mostly theft…I don’t think it’s as simple as “work on your art and you’ll improve”. I don’t see that as being true. Some people just won’t ever be good at it.
