I totally agree with this video. We always end up moving toward some kind of monopoly, and that’s exactly what’s happening with AI. Big tech companies have huge incentives to build the most powerful AI possible, and most developers don’t even realize they’re helping create the very thing that will replace them. Programming is already one of the most underrated jobs, yet many programmers still think AI is their “friend” or just another tool. In reality, they’re giving big tech the means to push them out.
The job market for developers is already completely different today—way more competitive and harder to break into. And in the next 2–3 years, a lot of programming work will be replaced. People can now use AI to build small projects that used to sell for thousands of dollars. The shift has already started.
