I don't understand what they mean when they say that in tech, AI is replacing workers. I work in tech. Layoffs are happening, but not because of AI - maybe they use it as an excuse, but it's just cost-cutting. AI is useful for our jobs, but it doesn't do anything so advanced that it would replace anyone - just makes existing workers slightly more efficient.
