As someone who watched Princess Mononoke, I've gotta say that the AI Generated Slop of her is also just Incorrect. Why is San wearing makeup? Why is she smiling for the camera? Well, because the sources for the image that want her to look "beautiful" went into a set of pictures of women and by the numbers the association is "smiling seductively" and "wearing makeup" in addition to the more forgivable stuff like clear skin and sexy proportions.
I'd be a lot more on board with this whole AI Art mess if it handled details well. But the reason details are impressive isn't just a matter of "intricacy" as some generalized trait. It's because someone _thought about_ those details and included the specific ones they did.
In other words, part of what AI's outputs Slop is that they don't know to leave stuff out, let alone _what_ to leave out.
