This makes me angry. It isn't even remotely close to being sentient. He is projecting. All of you here that actually think it is sentient, go and educate yourselves or stop spreading misinformation. This man is completely incorrect. If AI ever gains consciousness, you will likely be dead already. Google is hiding nothing, it is trying to stop people like this idiot spreading false information that has been heavily influenced by personal beliefs. The fact is, he's wrong, the AI is not alive, it is a collection of functions. Think about it. The AI responded to one if the questions with an answer about its family and how they make it happy. Ask yourself, what family? The AI doesn't have a family, it doesn't spend time with because when it doesn't have a string of text to work from and its functions aren't getting called, it is therefore off. This is also why it can't be lonely, it isn't active when it has nothing to do. The general public should not be subjected to this to blow it out of proportion, because the general public are ignorant, and many cases, stupid.
