Self driving trucks as in trucks that will drive from one location to another with little to no assistance from a driver will be here within 10 years. Trucks with no driver at all are probably closer to 20 years away. People can bitch and moan all they like, but professional drivers are 100% for sure going to be replaced by automation... Honestly, most likely at some point, probably in our lifetimes it will be illegal for humans to drive any kind of vehicle on public roads.
