My solution to the controversy. 1) No, AI art will never take the job of artists fully. Rather, artists will adapt to use AI in their own way. And a simple prompt user will definitely loose to a person who combines their advances knowledge and technique PLUS advanced knowledge of AI and prompt-engeneering techniques making it even better. As in, what would originally be a 90%-100% success without AI be turned into 100%- 110%. Those are the people I think that are the future of art, and it's those people I refer to when saying AI art can be good. 2). No, this is not stealing. At least, if we use an official definition of stealing, this is much closer to a different version of what we call creativity. That said, there is a possibility of accidental plagiarism, when the picture is obviously based on a specific work, but that can be easily resolved by just performing research before posting your image and redoing it. 3) We can make AI not the whole process, but only the parts of it that we choose. Like, if I'm making a webseries, I can make a soundtrack, a story, the dialogues, the world building myself, and use AI for voiceover. That being said, I myself do not usually post AI arts, unless I specifically mention it's completely AI, simply because I am not the kind of artist I was referring to in the previous point (although I hope to be one day)
