Lazy and discouraged people get sucked into predatory, dehumanizing systems like AI art or crypto scams or even hate groups because they're being told by advocates of those systems that the right thing to do is give up your humanity and submit to the "easy way". Whether that means using the plagiarism machine and imagining you're expressing yourself or pretending bad things happening to people don't need to be improved, these people do and say yucky things because they have given up. But you know what? It's never too late to hope, to dream, or to express yourself. Radical positivity, stubborn optimism, and supporting the people who allow themselves to be vulnerable in front of us are the things that will make the world a better place.
