The doom and gloom of AI stuff is pretty tiring, especially when those pushing it are… Selling books too? Feels less of a warning and more of an ad.
Yes jobs will change, yes fake stuff will be harder to pinpoint, but this all relies on only AI advancing and none of the counter measures. From taxing companies who use AI in replacement of manual labor (to subsidize lost employment) to detection services trained on AI generated works, there are counter measures already available.
Unfortunately we have an idiotic admin that doesn’t even understand what a transistor is so work on implementing will be slow.
