On the point of artists taking elements from their past and lives and putting it into their art subconsciously, I always think of this one fanfic series I read a little while back. It followed an adult and child character duo who started off with the adult hating the child and the kid being a little oblivious and nervous. But one thing that was used to show their growing relationship as they warmed up to one another was that the adult would occasionally pick up the small child, doing it more and more as time went on. At first doing it out of necessity but moving onto eventually do it out of affection and the desire to get the tired child off their feet.
But the thing is that you can tell from the story, along with the author's response to comments and author notes that it wasn't a planned mini-arc. Instead you can just infer that when the author thinks of sweet, parental interactions with a younger child, they think of picking up and holding the child. And that just warms my heart. But that is also something exclusive to the author. I wouldn't write that! I actually have a different thing of using food and cooking as a way to communicate affection between characters. Something I also do unthinkingly.
And I do notice the way people write narrations and dialogue often can parallel their own speaking mannerisms. I have had people say my creative writing is very conversational in the narration and they enjoy that. And I feel like I really nice people's style when reading comedy stories. Those have so much style to them based on a person's sense of humor. Try to ask AI to write a joke...
AI can never replicate those little touches. Which makes them all the sweeter to see.
