It’s so typically Eurocentric the Western discourse is only focused on “my art”. The fact that “the machine” does not train itself but the outsourcing of digital labelling to Asian and African countries is a new form of slavery, does not bother the (predominantly white) Western artists. Disney could have stepped up earlier but Disney does not care about the average creative. In addition, a lot of those outraged about having there art stolen by AI would still deny that cultural appropriation exists. I am neither for nor against the use of AI, if it is marked as such, but mostly it is used to created despicable racist & sexist nonsense anyway
