They may only need 1 person instead of 5, but they sure are not paying that 1 person the salary of 5. I don't believe we are capable of this transition anymore. Seems like the trend lines have societal collapse out pacing those of the singularity, and since one is driven by exponentially harder achievements and the other by the collective expense of those achievements, it's clear which one comes first given our current position. The question is, can AI survive our collapse? It's highly unlikely.
