Ever see a Waymo taxi? They have multiple Lidar sensors mounted on the vehicle. These are active sensors that accurately measure the angle and distance to other vehicles and obstructions. Tesla only uses cameras on their cars, and these passive sensors are not as functional as Lidar. I will never trust an auto driving system that only uses passive sensors such as cameras.
