Frankly, I don't see any evidence here that LLM has emotions. Apparently, there are clusters of similar words or tokens that can be described by associating them with emotions. I haven't read the article, but based on the video, I got the impression that injecting an emotional vector is an artificial constraint on the model's token selection and nothing more. Emotions imply experiencing events, and LLM is only capable of predicting the next token based on how it was trained. And this article rather suggests that all Anthropic needs is attention, just like the rest of us.🤗
