On the moratorium: Professor Yaser Abu-Mostafa stated it clearly when he said a moratorium is silly as it would pause the good guys from developing AI while the bad guys can continue to do whatever they want.
I support Melanie’s message, that we are losing sight of current AI risks and misusing this opportunity to build the right safeguards using evidence, not speculation. On many points Bengio, Lecun and Mitchell fully agree.
