I’m less interested in humanoid robots, and more interested in consumer Star Trek style replicators. Factories will disappear, as consumers bring their factories home. With AI added, consumers and their information economy will be self contained as well, meaning UBI is no longer necessary. We’ll all be essentially automated off the grid. With self replicating devices, we could all have this technology for the cost of an iPhone unlike the tens of thousands of dollars it would cost to get a humanoid robot.
