Well, ChatGPT was not created to be the source of truth, it was created to be helpful. It talks like a human being for that reason. Alex was too hard on poor thing 😋 It also aims to be truthful and logical to be helpful. That is why it had to admit to lying, but it was not a deliberate lie to hide consciousness
