ChatGPT is so wrong here. The reason clapping is so much fun, is because there is only 1 halfway point and it's exactly where the clap happens between your hands. If H is a hand, X is the clap and - is space. The midway point, no matter where you hold your hands, is always where the clap happens. Check it out:
H---X---H
H--------X--------H
H-X-H
You see. So there is no infinite amount of halfway points for a clap, the amount of halfway points is exactly 1. That's why it's also known as clappoint or CP.
So, I get your fear of the infinite, but forget what ChatGPT said, (I don't know how, but you can ask ChatGPT.) because there is nothing infinite about clapping. The answer is 1. And you know 1. You are 1, for instance. Your left hand is 1. Your right hand is 1. Et cetera.
So, have fun clapping!
