Gen ai is an algorithm made for the uncreative to pretend thwir creative. It was not made as a tool for the artist in mind, it just needs their artwork to function. Like the data blackhole it is. The uncreative cling to these vague descriptions and loose ideas that neither get refined nor executed well even with gen ai doing all the work. But have the gal to put down the very people that make it to work in the first place. 😂 And i can say for a fact that it isnt a "tool" for artists to use and embrace because plenfy of artists have used it and promptly dropped it because it scrubs the individuality of their work out, and is a glorified toy. It takes longer to edit a drawing than it does to simply draw it. Not to mention, artists tend to use gen ai better than ai bros... but thats because they already know how to draw... they know about light sources and composition. artists are adapting just fine, just not the way ai bros wanted them to. (Like adaptation is a one way street and not different evolutionary branching. Ai bros suck at art, computer science ,copy right, and biology. God.) So no. Artists don't need to embrace this shoddy technology. It's nothing like the human brain, referencing, photography, fan art, nor digital art: these have been thoroughly debunked. Keep those glorified pony oc generators and look forward to all the upcoming lawsuits - wasn't there a leaked list of artists midjourney scrapped from? 😂
