Realistically, companies that serve the lower middle class and lower class will start to evaporate and they’ll start focusing on the upper class and upper middle class, which might lead to saturation of companies like that. At the end only a change in who the companies serve will take place. If it’s so bad that only the top 1% can afford anything, then the top 1% will care about the rest because they’ll see opportunity to make money there. How many companies currently serve the lower class? There are already millions that can’t afford what the average person worrying about AI can.
