The worst part is this ai chaos and controversy has gone so far that it's hurting ai.
I feel ai could be used as a support tool to help people, but instead it's used as a get rich quick scam or human replacement scam .
Like we already have ai in a lot of our daily life, predictive text is a form of ai, document spell checkers is ai, "recommended" search functions, reading models that parse through text and produce breakdowns, data analasys, ect. Tools that help us .
Generative ai could have worked this way too, like a way for someone to generate concept art to be passed on to artists to fully realise, or a writing prompt to start building a story from, heck even using it to help transfer data from one style to another (eg one coding language to another, written music to sound, storyboards to rudimentary images).
But because of its a biggest controversys people reject ai like poison. By using ai badly these tech bros have made sure it can never be used well, for short term gain they have crippled AIs long term growth.
This is why it has become a scam on the level of the housing bubble or the South seas trading company.
