The most benevolent way to use Ai for art, would be each artist having its own Ai that learns only from then, so they can use to speed up their own process, but lets be real, companies will replace the middle man who isnt that bad or that great, which is the most artists, with Ai generation, since the average dude cant tell the difference at glance.
people dont get the difference from inspiration people use to Ai theft, it i simple, people will see something and try to do something similar, they still need to draw it, the hand isnt the same, the speed and flow isnt the same, so even if the inspiration and intention is the same, the result will not, because aside passing the outline over, it wont be equal, and repeating other people work is not fun, while drawing you will have ideas. While AI will make cut of know art and use those cut to make what the prompt asked, it did not draw, it dont try to have ideas, all it want is to be as equal as possible.
So in a sense, people draw stuff while Ai just complete a jigsaw puzzle.
