Disabled artist here. I suffer from focal hand dystonia which makes drawing painful. I wake up in constant pain and drawing make it worse. I was told to stop drawing since I would lose my hand movility eventually. Why did I keep drawing? Because it's important for me. It's the reason I endured and still keep enduring this pain. It's not what idea is on my mind, but the journey I've made to translate it with my own visual words and style. The dance between the idea and your skill and how you slowly get better. The joy of helping other people's idea come to life and KNOWING what they need to really convery what they want to say. The sacrifice I've made, the days I end up in tears because of pain... I'd rather have those than a f*cking machine steal other people's voices. The argument that AI makes things easier for me is insulting. I don't need anyone to make things easier for me because I've found my own way of dealing with that and it has become part of my experience and style. If I need accomodations, I'll ask for them, but this is not one I asked for. And also; the mere thought that what I've been developing for years of suffering and has become my art style is gonna be fed to a machine to make soulless copies of it is revolting :_D
