Many details are missing from this prediction scenario. I doubt this will happen as quickly as it's being predicted in this research paper about AI going rogue by 2027. Firstly, it's nearly 2026, and AI has a long way to go before it's fully adopted by the public and military. Humanoid robots have a full range of challenges ahead in becoming integrated into the workspace and home, never mind walking freely around in society. Perhaps by 2037, it might be closer to this scenario, but timelines like that can change like the weather, too. What happens if a superstorm destroys those super data centers? Anything can happen.
