So about that whole disabled artist talking points, the thing is disabled artists don’t need an ai to make art. As said in the video by the disabled artist asked about it, it’s kinda more ableist assuming all disabled artists can’t make art at all and need such a huge crutch like ai to do it. There’s many examples, but I’ll keep it short. There’s an artist who posted a YouTube short I saw where he directly demonstrated that despite not having a right hand, he was able to adapt and use a prosthetic arm to do it. On a more debilitating level, the last living person to be put in an iron lung has lived his entire life with the inability to move or even breathe on his own. He quite literally is just a head sticking out of a giant metal life support machine. And yet despite that, the guy learned to paint using only his mouth to hold the brush. He’s even painted some beautiful paintings doing that. He died recently, but he died having lived a fulfilling life, and learned to make art, in spite of his condition. Funnily enough there’s a Japanese artist alive today who also does art with his mouth too, and that’s because he’s missing both arms. Even without completely missing limbs, disabled people have found plenty of alternative methods for producing art. Hell, digitally made art produced in art programs like MS paint or flash already enable people to create art more easily due to tolls that help them create lines on the canvas without having to exert as much physical movement. Just like the disabled artist this video consulted. It’s always insulting to me that something with such a wonderfully low bar of entry for people of all abilities disabled or not are being assumed by others that they need something to create the image for them. It sounds kinda patronizing to me imo.
