I know we're all looking forward to the robot overlords destroying human life, but in the meantime can we have some basic technology upgrades? Could they make voting machines that work? How about ATMs that fix themselves? What about an automated customer support system that can keep up with normal conversation speed and doesn't drop your call? I'm watching these videos realizing that AI has no idea what human speech looks or sounds like. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but it seems like things have to get better before we all get slaughtered.
